Thanks Nathan! That just about sums it up, though you could add an over-reliance on 1 Corinthians 13:10 in there if you like! I appreciate the time you took to write your original posts and to read my response.

Wow! Thanks for all the time and energy you put into that post. It’s obviously given me a lot to think about.

It seems to me your “concerns” with my post boil down to three main factors…

1) I did not deal with Joel 2/Acts 2

2) I am assuming that the activity (of tongues, prophecy, and healing) described in Acts is the same as the activity described in 1 Corinthians. (I believe you noted the difference as being “signs” versus “gifts.”)

3) Because of number 2, I have misdefined the gifts of 1 Corinthians 12-14

Would you agree that those are your basic areas of disagreement? I just want to make sure I understand you correctly before I respond in detail.
