Isn't the middle of the third paragraph simply a contradiction of the first two?

I feel an 'Ali shuffle' is imminent.

"As mentioned, it is the truth. It is not like that a person is by birth a criminal or a thief it is the society or the community that makes him a criminal or a bad personality."

Thank goodness, for a minute there I almost believed I was responsible before God for my own actions.... Luckily my sins are the direct result of my upbringing.... My parents should confess.... (sarcasm intended)

Remember we are born with a sin nature and completely depraved, we are already the criminal and the thief and too many other horrible things to mention. Praise God for parents who strive to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Parents, (especially fathers) who accept their responsibility to instruct, guide, and discipline. Only Christ and him crucified however can free us from the bondage of sin. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"!

Great article!

John, I am looking for Bible references to help my classmates see where God calls us to teach children with special needs. I have searched the net not finding much. Your article was the closest thing I could find to Bible integration, do you have any other Bible references for teaching exceptional children? Thanks, Lisa Dally

This is a response to the article with the title The Bible and children.
As a father of two sons and a grandfather of two sons and as a retired high school teacher of religion in the Netherlands the article really appealed to me.
A few comments:
1 I am sure that practically all grown up Christians will be aware of the fact that they have their parents to thank for their knowledge of the Bible and the Christian faith.
2 I am also sure that practically all grown up Christians will belong to the same church or denomination as their parents. This fact demonstrates the tremendous importance of the way parents educate children, also in the religious field
3 The fact that in the Western world there are so many millions of people who know little or nothing of the message that God, Jesus Christ, the Bible and Christianity have made available for them must be considered a great tragedy. This tragedy has been caused by the fact that, during the past few centuries, for all sorts of reasons millions of parents have failed to pass the religious convictions they were brought up with on to their children.

Hi Mark,

How do you get the quote style you've got? I'm using K2 too - is it an additional plugin?

Thanks,
Sam
