Logos Videos
This page brings together tutorial videos I have made to help people use Logos Bible software. Latest video: New Features in 4.0c
Logos 4
- Switching from Logos 3: Several features have changed in Logos 4. This means we need to change our habits to make best use of them and ask “How best do I accomplish this task in Logos 4?”
- Introduction to Resource Prioritisation: Resource prioritising in Logos 4 has replaced key-linking from Logos 3. Key-linking was a powerful magic that few mastered. Prioritising, on the other hand has drag and drop simplicity. It’s not quite as powerful as the key-linking feature, but as this video shows, that’s not to say you can’t personalise Logos 4 almost exactly to your tastes.
- Advanced Resource Prioritisation: Follows on from the previous video, and shows how to prioritise individual resources within a series, and how to set prioritization limits.
- Creating advanced dynamic collections: Covers search syntax in the collections pane, showing how to create true dynamic collections without relying on adding/removing individual resources.
- Creating nested dynamic collections: Shows how to merge collections, and more importantly why you might want to. Includes a very valuable tip showing how to simply create subsets of just the favourite resources in your collections.
- Preparing a sermon in Logos 4: A series of videos showing how I prepared one sermon using Logos 4.
- New features in 4.0b: A quick run down of what’s new in the latest version of Logos 4.
Logos 3
- Preparing sermons in Logos 3: A quick video showing my normal Logos 3 workspace that I used during sermon preparation.
- Setting up a workspace for sermons: Some of the setting up (particularly with parallel resource associations) that make preparing sermons quicker and easier.

In L3 I have the workman video series. I now have L4 and noticed that it was not transfered over from L3. Do you happen to know how to transfer this series over, and then play them? I have a few other video series that haven’t been transfered over as of yet. Any info would be good….
thank you

Mark,
I can’t thank you enough for presenting these videos. I greatly appreciate the thought process that you describe as you work through a problem. You have enabled me to make some valuable improvements in my Logos 4 collections. Also, your videos on sermon preparation are magnificent. Thank you.
David
There’s a new video now available: New features in 4.0b.
Mark, Greatly appreciated your latest video demonstrating new features in Logos 4.0c. 2 Questions. 1. In the “Search” dialog, when a list (finds) appears, your screen image shows an icon to the left of each resource (see video at 9:33ff). I have not seen this feature. Is there a way to turn it on (or is it an upcoming feature)?
2. Also, when you demonstrate the F7 feature, typically 4 Bibles appear in the ribbon. Once, 5 appeared. I have only seen 3. Is there a way to govern how many appear (I learned how to determine which ones appear and in what order)?
Hi Tim. I answered these questions for you on the Logos forum.
Got it. Thanks.
Hi, Marks this is Tes in the forum, from Frankfurt-Germany.I would be glad ,if I could call you for help?

Greetings Mark,
I agree with John! Your work is very well done and greatly appreciated! I must admit that I’ve been checking here periodically for a 4.0d update :~) but I’m guessing you’ve been busy which I can very much relate to, so no worries, just want to let you know that you do good work!
Blessings
Jonny
Hello Mark,
Thanks for the videos! I have been using Logos 3 for several years but am only starting to see it’s full potential with the help of your videos.
