Hello Mark,

could you, please help me to understand what's going on with your plugin in my particular configuration?

I've set up a site http://a-family.ru with Wordpress 2.8 RUS, installed the latest version of your plugin and got a very strange problem.

I've configured TNG plugin to show on http://a-family.ru/familytree/ and put there a link to http://a-family.ru/familytree/…..e=barkeley

It takes usually more than 2 minutes for the pedigree chart to load.

The most peculiar thing is that it gets so slow only in Firefox browser(including the latest 3.5) and only with proxy server settings turned on.

It has something to do with your plugin, cause when I go directly to TNG the chart loads in several seconds.

I am puzzled, I can't rely on visitors not to use Firefox with proxy on and it's about time to deliver the site to my client, but I can't do that until the problem is resolved.

Additional info:

I have permalinks set to /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

Wordpress and TNG templates change do not affect the slowdown – I've tried several with the same result. Language of TNG doesn't matter either.

Using the plugin can be a little slower than normal, but it shouldn't be that slow. Can I suggest you install the Firebug extension, then use it's net panel (shift+refresh the browser with than panel open) to find our which files are causing the slow down.

I tried it several time with different results. The problem it seems in very long pauses between requests. Please see pause between dragdrop.js and ArrowDown.gif on the screenshot. Sometimes it pops out an error with varying text, this time it's about pedjson.php.
