I just installed Sermon Browser. Everything looks great. I linked to one sermon to test it out. The audio player, however simply sits there saying "Buffering." Nothing will play.
Anyone have any ideas of what is going on?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

@Steve,
I've had this before and googled a solution. The issue is not to do with Sermon-Browser, rather the audioplayer plugin.
Some steps to try:
(1) Close browser (is it Firefox by any chance?) and either:
(a) Wait 5 minutes – yes it really does take a while to totally clear memory OR
(b) Reboot – safest option
Then retry. I tried lots of options and believe it on not this was the one that worked!
Other possibilities:
(2) Ensure your link / file name is correct and the directory (or website if a URL) is accessible
(3) Ensure you have the latest version of Flash (For Firefox – you need to download the correct version and install manually and reboot – even though you don't have to)
(4) If all above and still doesn't work (and if you are fairly 'computer literate') there's nothing better than using the firebug extension to firefox to see exactly what's happening in realtime. May give you some ideas.
Hope these help. I would definitely try the reboot step and retry first though.

Thanks for the adivce. I am using Firefox. I gave it five minutes. I rebooted. And I also made sure that I had the latest Flash version. I also made sure the files are in their proper folder. Yet, whenever I click on the player to play a sermon, it first says "Connecting", then it says "Buffering" and just stays at "Buffering."
I can go to other sites that use Sermon Browser, and I have no problem hearing the sermons.
Any further suggestions?

Hey everyone,
I am desperate for help. Is there anyone out there who can help me? For some reason I cannot get the audio player to play my sermons.
The sermon browser page seems to be set up and working properly. I can see the player. But when I click on it, it says "Connecting to site," then it says "Buffering," but it just hangs there.
I have followed the instructions already suggested, save for the "Firebug" stuff because I don't know enough about that. If anyone is willing to help me out, I'd be endebted!

Steve,
It does seem as though there's a bug affecting your site. Frankly it makes so sense at all to me and it's not one I've seen before. Can I ask you do temporarily disable to AudioPlayer plugin, then see if you can download the file (a globe icon will display in the place of the AudioPlayer).
Thanks,
Mark
Update: There is another user with the same problem on another thread. If he could also try this, it might throw some light on the problem.

Mark,
I tried disabling the audio player and clicking on a file and received this message:
Page not found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Please try the following:
If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
- Click the Back button in your browser to try another link. – Use a search engine like Google to look for information on the Internet.
HTTP 404 – File not found

What file are you referring to? I upgraded to WP 2.8.1 and all of the sudden the audio player says "File Not Found."
I have the latest Sermon Browswer AND Audio player…
What to do? Please help.

I'm having the same problem with the "File not Found." In the flash player. The weird thing is, the files play fine when in the sidebar widget. So I know the link is good. Counsel?

I have upgraded to the newest version but in IE8 in Vista or Win XP it locks up the whole computer. If using IE7 or Firefox, it is fine. I have even tried using compatibility mode in IE8 to no avail.
Any ideas?

bcook,
It sounds to me like a browser problem. Can you try IE8 on another machine? If it is a browser problem, trying removing flash, or resetting the browser.

Mark, I tried it on another machine and it acts the same on IE8.
When you say remove Flash, do you mean remove and then reinstall?
What do you mean by resetting the browser?

If it happens on another machine, it may not be a problem with Flash. Can you give me the address of your site?

Well, Mark, I don't know if you did anything, but if you did, I am at a loss as to what you did, but it seems to be working, now in IE8.

I have the same problem. my site is here http://www.holytrinitychurch.c…..?page_id=9
I am using Linux with Firefox and have the latest Flash player installed. However a colleague has tried it on his windows machine and has the same error. I know it has been working in the past but has now stopped.
